Outstanding ORIGINAL heavy (watch weighs 6.25 ounces) wavy edged plain polished offset hinged coin silver hunter case in superb condition with a nice blank initial shield.

Magnificent half plate gilt strong running key wind and set from the back unusual "N" size hunter movement with a Reed's patent main spring barrel and a hard to find Mershon's patent center wheel rack regulator. The original stop works on the barrel is disable. This fine running movement has just been professionally serviced including adjusting, oiling, and timing.

Spectacular PERFECT single sunk white porcelain dial with black roman numerals sets off this rare 140 year old Howard pocket watch! A key is included.

There is an original presentation dated 1869 on the dust cover to S. H. Macbeth, the Chief Clerk of the Car Division of the PC and St L Ry railroad from the employees of that railroad car division. This is an historically important inscription from the Pittsburg, Cincinatti, and St. Louis Railway Company which was incorporated on March 23, 1868 and lasted until 1870. This is a wonderful piece of early Americana. Click on photos for larger images. Great gift for a retirement, birthday, graduation, or any holiday! Warranted 90 days!
